At HCBA, we’re passionate about making basketball accessible and sustainable for everyone on the Hibiscus Coast. Our focus is on delivering grassroots programmes that bring the game into local neighbourhoods, while building the infrastructure and support systems needed for long-term growth.
Through inclusive initiatives and strong partnerships, we’re creating opportunities for all ages and skill levels to participate, develop, and thrive — both on and off the court. Together, we’re shaping a vibrant basketball culture that reflects the values and potential of our region.

HCBA has three key areas of participation which provide basketball opportunities
for all levels of ability.
Schools
The schools program includes an academy and leagues for both primary and secondary ages. These modules are run locally and are designed to promote participation in a fun and engaging environment. Three-day school holiday camps are regularly run during term breaks.
Club
The club module operates community-based competitions such as the Quick 3 league. These leagues are designed to run with smaller player numbers. The outcome is that players are exposed to more game time and higher participation levels. These games are exciting to play and spectate, with the emphasis on developing personal skill level, rather than results.
Representative
Hibiscus Coast representative teams are selected from open trial events and by invite from our representative coaches. Teams participate in Regional and National competitions for boys and girls, ranging in ages from Under 12 to Under 20. These teams compete at a high level and many of our players have gone on to higher honours.
