JDP Trials

Trials are open to all athletes in the U12s (2017, 2016, 2015 born) and U14s (2014, 2013 born) age groups. Team selections will be made by the coach/es of each team.

All athletes attending trials will be fitted for a Coast uniform and will be required to purchase a uniform to compete in the Junior Representative Season. Please note, this is in addition to Junior Representative fees.

TRIAL INFORMATION

LOCATION: Whangaparaoa College Gym
(best access Berdinner Road, Stanmore Bay)

Please note - no spectators for the trial sessions thank you.

COST: $20 total per athlete, to be paid at trials via eftpos

Please arrive 30 mins prior to trial times to confirm registrations, get trial numbers and go through uniform fitting

Parent inductions will happen at the start of each trial on the 6th and 7th June. One parent must attend one of these inductions. These will be held in the upstairs rooms at Wgp College.

* All trials are closed to parents

* Bring water bottle, court shoes, comfortable training gear, reversible black and white shirt (mouth guards are not required for trials but you are free to have your child wear one)

Cost: $20 per person to be paid via eftpos

We ask that all players register via the online link

We ask players to attend all trials to give themselves the best opportunity to be seen and selected by the head coaches.

JDP Representative Season

Coast Junior Representative Teams include regional, development and club groups. We compete in a range of Rep level competitions throughout Auckland. We offer high quality coaching and are committed to the overall development of our athletes as people and players.

The JDP will introduce its players to key concepts and techniques that will help them have fun, play well and have future opportunities. Our goal is to introduce players to the Hibiscus Coast Style of Play which promotes motion style principles that value position-less play, game understanding and a flexible skill set. We see this as an enjoyable and effective way to play.

Tri Series: August 1st (Whangaparaoa College and Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre).
Pre-Season Tournament: August 8th and 9th.

Supercity Comp

August & September (4-6 weeks)

U14 Regionals
October - Selected players only

FEES

2026 Junior Fees - $499*

Junior fees go towards coaching costs, court hire for trainings, director fees & administrative fees.
(Please note, Coast Basketball is committed to developing and retaining quality coaching in our local area, to do this we provide remuneration to our coaches for their time and expertise.)

* Tournament Entry Fees are an additional cost and not part of the fee structure. Teams will play in different events so will only be charged for competitions they participate in.

* Coast Basketball annual festival fundraiser will be held on Sunday 20th September. All players selected in the JDP will be ask to participate in this fundraising event and raffle sales leading up to it. Includes prizes for sponsors and participants.

UNIFORMS

Each player has their own uniform, which includes their name on their singlet. Players are required to purchase a uniform for the rep season if they don't have one already. Players will be fitted for these at trials. Uniforms will be ordered and invoiced upon selection into a team.

Package 1: Shorts, Shirts & Shooter Shirt - $135.00

Package 2: Shorts, Shirts & Shooter Shirt + Coast Hoodie - $215.00

Please note, players will not need to re-register for the season once selected for a team.
