HCBA has three key areas of participation which provide basketball opportunities for all levels of ability. 

Schools

The schools programmes include academies and leagues for both primary and secondary ages. These modules are run locally and are designed to promote participation in a fun and engaging environment.  School holiday camps are regularly run during term breaks. 

Our new Club Academies kick off in Term 2 2026 for yr 4-6 (Girls only academy - yrs 4-8).

Clubs

The club module operates community-based competitions such as the Quick 3 league. These leagues are designed to run with smaller player numbers. The outcome is that players are exposed to more game time and higher participation levels. These games are exciting to play and spectate, with the emphasis on developing personal skill level, rather than results.

Representative

Hibiscus Coast representative teams are selected from open trial events and by invite from our representative coaches. Teams participate in Regional and National competitions for boys and girls, ranging in ages from Under 12 to Under 20. These teams compete at a high level and many of our players have gone on to higher honours.
