Junior Jammerz is Coast Basketball’s fun, supportive development programme for children aged 5–11, helping young players build confidence, learn fundamental basketball skills and grow their love of the game.
Whether they’re picking up a basketball for the first time or ready for a greater challenge, players are grouped by experience and ability so they can learn, progress and be challenged at the right level.
SOMETHING FOR EVERY YOUNG PLAYER
Junior Jammerz is about giving kids a positive experience with basketball from the very beginning.
Our sessions combine skill development with plenty of movement, games and opportunities to play. As players progress, we introduce greater game understanding, teamwork, decision-making and competitive elements to help prepare them for the next stage of their basketball journey.

FIND YOUR JAMMERZ GROUP
Rather than grouping players simply by age, Junior Jammerz offers three skill groups based on experience and ability. This allows every player to develop at an appropriate pace and get the most out of their time on court.
FOUNDATION
8:30AM - 9:30AM
New to basketball
Generally less than 1 year experience
The perfect starting point for young players. Foundation focuses on fundamental movement, basic ball handling and introducing basketball skills in a fun, encouraging environment.
The emphasis is on confidence, enjoyment and getting comfortable with the ball.
DEVELOPMENT
9:30AM - 10:30AM
Intermediate
Generally less than 3 years experience
For players who have grasped the fundamentals and are ready to take the next step. Development introduces more advanced individual skills while building game awareness, teamwork and an understanding of how to play with others.
Players continue developing their fundamentals while beginning to read, understand and play the game.
ACADEMY
10:30AM - 11:30AM
Advanced
Generally 3+ years experience
Our Academy group is for experienced Junior Jammerz players who have a strong understanding of our Super 6 skills and are ready to be challenged.
Sessions introduce higher-level concepts, decision-making and competitive play, helping players continue developing towards their next basketball opportunity.

Our skill groups are designed to put players in the environment that best supports their current development. Experience is a guide, but ability and readiness are more important than simply how long a child has played.
