Coast Basketball offers a range of programmes designed to help tamariki discover, enjoy and develop through basketball.
From first experiences with the game through to dedicated skills development, girls-only opportunities and school holiday camps, our programmes provide fun, supportive environments where young players can build their skills, confidence and love of basketball at every stage of their journey.
JAMMERZ
Jammerz is our fun, supportive introduction to basketball for all children aged 5–11. Players are grouped by experience and ability, creating the right environment to build fundamental skills, confidence and a love of the game. From first-time players through to those ready for a greater challenge, Jammerz provides a positive pathway to learn, develop and keep progressing in basketball.
ROYALS GIRL’S ACADEMY
The Hibiscus Royals All Girls Academy gives girls in Years 4–8 a dedicated, supportive space to develop their basketball. Led by experienced coaches, the programme focuses on building skills, game understanding, confidence and teamwork in a fun, inclusive environment - helping girls enjoy the game, support their school basketball journey and continue developing as players.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB ACADEMIES
Coast Club Academies bring quality basketball development directly into local primary schools, making it easier for tamariki to learn and develop their game. Led by qualified, experienced coaches, the programme provides a fun and inclusive environment where players of all abilities can build their skills, game understanding, confidence and teamwork while supporting their school basketball journey.
HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES
Keep the kids active and on court during the school holidays with Coast Basketball’s Holiday Programmes. Our Jammerz Camps introduce Years 1–4 to basketball through fun, age-appropriate activities, while Rise Up Camps give Years 4–8 the chance to develop their skills, confidence and game understanding in an engaging basketball environment.
