Coast Basketball’s representative programmes provide players with opportunities to take their game further through quality coaching, competitive basketball and positive team experiences.
From our Junior Development Programme through to Senior Representatives and tournament opportunities, we’re focused on helping players develop their skills, game understanding and confidence while creating pathways to progress in basketball.
JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (u12 / U14)
Coast’s Junior Development Programme (JDP) gives U12 and U14 players the opportunity to experience representative basketball, with quality coaching, competitive opportunities and a strong focus on player development. Through our Coast style of play, athletes build their skills, game understanding and confidence in a fun, challenging team environment.
SENIOR REPRESENTATIVES (U16 / U18 / U20)
Coast’s Senior Representative Programme gives U16, U18 and U20 players the opportunity to compete at a higher level, with quality coaching, structured development and pathways to regional and national competition. Players are challenged to grow their skills, game understanding and performance within a competitive team environment.
MEL YOUNG EASTER TOURNAMENT
The Mel Young Easter Classic is one of the highlights of the Coast Basketball calendar, bringing our teams together for four days of competitive tournament basketball in Tauranga. Players prepare through dedicated training camps before taking on teams from across the country in an unforgettable Easter basketball experience.
